BMW E39 M5 Touring Concept
Inspiration for our BMW M5 Touring Conversions is the only BMW E39 M5 Touring Concept ever built by BMW M, which is kept in the BMW museum in Munich, Germany. The BMW E34 M5 Touring and BMW E61 M5 Touring did go into production at the time, two fantastic M5 Tourings that beautifully combine functionalism and sportiness. It is therefore unfortunate that the E39 M5 Touring has never saw the light of day. The reason for us to build and redevelop this missing BMW.

Building a BMW E39 M5 Touring
The basis for building a BMW E39 M5 Touring is an ordinary BMW E39 Touring and a donor BMW E39 M5 Sedan. Besides the longer roofline, the trunk floor is the only difference between a BMW E39 M5 Sedan and a BMW E39 Touring body, because of the two double mufflers of the M5 that take up a lot of space. For us this is the basic modification of the Wagon bodywork for restoring a BMW E39 M5 Touring. This means that we are looking for a donor M5 body from which the trunk floor is cut out.

M5 technique
All technique such as the 4.9i V8 S62 M5 engine, the M5 gearbox, the M5 drivetrain and the M5 front suspension can be mounted directly on a standard E39 Touring body. The rear suspension of the E39 Touring differs from that of the M5, because the Touring is equipped with air suspension as standard and the M5 does not. But the sper-differential and the other parts of the powertrain of the M5 fit in the subframe of the Touring. Because bodywork is required for building a BMW E39 M5 Touring and most M5 colours were not available in a Touring, we always repaint the complete bodywork.

Building a BMW E39 M5 Touring will take around one year and will be done in close collaboration with the client.
Costs
The cost of building a BMW E39 M5 Touring in mint condition is around €125,000. For that price, the car is like new, meaning it comes with new paint, a new interior, and a new S62 engine with 0 kilometers on the odometer.
