BMW E46 chassis reinforcement
The BMW E46 is known for cracks developing in the chassis at the subframe mounting points. This is most common in higher-powered BMW E46 models due to the significant forces exerted on the chassis. Chassis reinforcement is recommended and can be carried out by us. We advise combining the chassis reinforcement with a subframe renovation, as the rear axle is removed anyway.
Reinforcement plates
The chassis is reinforced by welding in special chassis reinforcement plates at the subframe mounting points. To access this, we remove the entire rear axle.

Costs
The required chassis reinforcement plates cost €94.95 incl. VAT. The welding hours and the disassembly and reassembly hours for the rear axle will be carried out at an hourly rate of €85.00 excl. VAT.
